Starting on October 26, it will be organized at the mosque every day after Asr (afternoon) prayers, according to El-Balad website.
Abdul Mun’im Fuad, an official with the mosque, said every day, a half Juz (one-thirtieth part) of the Quran is recited in the Qiraat Ashar and then the principles of the styles are explained and discussed.
He raising awareness about the Qiraat Ashar and enhancing qaris’ skills in the styles of recitation are among the goals of the seminars.
Meanwhile, custodian of the mosque Hani Awdah said the Qiraat Ashar are an important Islamic heritage and signify the diversity in accurate recitation of the Quran.
He added that promoting the teaching of the Qiraat Ashar would help to develop the Quranic culture.
